There, a young boy by the name of Menes is being tried for murder, and about to be executed. Ghosts Towns starts off with you, a stranger, traveling to the town of Ulthar. Now that I’ve got all of that out of the way, let’s get down to the review itself! You see, there are no ghosts, no abandoned towns, and only one town in the game. Either it is part of series that I’m unfamiliar with, or they did it to avoid copyright issues. It should be noted before I begin that I’m utterly confused as to why the game is called “Ghost Towns”Â. I guess you’ll have to read it now, or at least look up the plot. For those of you unfamiliar with the story, you’re probably now a bit confused. Also, who doesn’t like cats? For those of you familiar with the story, that was a joke. Now I’m no Lovecraft freak, but you can’t deny his works have a certain air of interesting to them. Sure, I managed to fit in three other adventure games, but none like the ones I’m quickly becoming known for.Īnyways, The Cats of Ulthar intrigued me because it is loosely based on a Lovecraft story.
